BRING YOUR QUESTIONS!

Everybody’s using AI pretty much all the time….

If your kid doesn’t use it on their college apps, will they be left behind? Or if they do use it, will they be penalized?

Parents ask us this all the time, and it’s nuanced. So we’re taking you inside the black box to hear from real admissions officers, consultants, and leaders in AI education.

If you’ve been wondering:

  • Are colleges using AI to screen applications? If so, what does that mean for your student?
  • What are students actually allowed to use AI for?
  • And how do you even prevent a teenager from using AI in the wrong ways?

Join us and walk away crystal clear on the risks, advantages, and best practices.

Who’s on the panel?

Sheila Akbar, President & CEO of Signet Education

Sheila has guided hundreds of students and families through this process, helping them figure out their story in a way that cannot be faked, and therefore organically stands out. In this class, she’ll answer the biggest questions she gets from parents and give you a look inside her tried and true process.

Joanna Graham, Top Admissions Consultant & Expert Coach

Joanna has decades of experience in the college admissions and standardized testing space, having worked as an admissions interviewer and application reader at Georgetown University and then as an independent admissions consultant in the DC area. She is also a current member of the Board of Governors at Georgetown.

Lori Mazor, CEO of SYNTHETIVITY, an AI Enablement and Training Firm

Lori Mazor is the founder and CEO of SYNTHETIVITY, an AI enablement and training firm, and the author of TEMPERATURE: Creativity in the Age of AI. She works on the question employees and their kids are both asking right now: what does it mean to be good at your work when the machine can do part of it?

She builds workforce development and educational technology for global corporations, academic institutions, and public authorities, including the MTA, RIT, CareFirst, Tripadvisor, and the United Nations. An architect by training, she spent two decades inside New York University and Hunter College before turning to AI education full time.

Lori holds a Master of Architecture from Yale, an MBA from NYU Stern, and a BA from Wellesley. She is also the parent of a college freshman (Go Badgers!) which is its own education in what teenagers actually do with AI. Her teaching philosophy: I Teach AI with a Human Touch®.

Bring your questions and leave with a clear, practical understanding of how AI will affect your child’s college candidacy…

And how to use it wisely to aid in the admissions process.
