Jas attended the University of Colorado where he attained a Bachelors of both Philosophy and Classics. He had the opportunity to work with engaging and talented faculty, which helped shape his method and engagement drive teaching philosophy. He also received the latter degree Magna cum Laude after publishing a thesis on the misconceptions of Literacy during the Early Roman Empire and modelling a Classical Education in Modern Schools.
Jas continued his education at the Teachers College of Columbia University in New York City and worked on a thesis around models of argumentation to earn his Masters in Philosophy and Education.
Jas grew up in Chicago, but he settled in Cambridge, MA after finishing school. Living here has cemented his commitment to helping students grow and challenge themselves. He works hard to ensure that through an engaging and thorough process, his students can meet, and even surpass, their goals. When he isn't teaching, you can find him searching for the perfect cup of coffee, at the gym, or trying to find parking.
