Cassie graduated with honors from Wellesley College in 2008 with BA degrees in Neuroscience and Spanish. She is currently pursuing her MD/PhD in Health Policy at Harvard University, in the Economics track. She has been happy to receive several academic awards, including honors in Neuroscience, academic prizes in both undergraduate fields, and election to Phi Beta Kappa and Sigma Xi societies. She is currently in her 5th year of PhD training, with academic work focusing on the public use of private markets. She has also completed 3 years of medical school, qualifying exams in Health Policy and Economics, the USMLE Steps 1 and 2, and the GRE. She loves teaching, and has worked as a university tutor as well as a teaching fellow for undergraduate and masters-level courses.
When not in classes or doing research, Cassie enjoys being outdoors, trying to learn new languages, and spending as much time as possible at the dog park.
