Academic Biography

Amanda graduated magna cum laude from Harvard with high honors in Literature. Although her focus was dramatic literature, she also dabbled in American art history and literature, film history, psychoanalysis, European history, philosophy, poetic and theatrical translation. She has an MA and is currently finishing a PhD in French literature from Harvard. Amanda also recently finished an MFA Acting program in London.

Amanda has tutored over 2000 hours in subjects such as SAT/ACT/GRE prep, AP Literature, and essay writing. She has also coached many students on the AP French test over the years, and has in fact helped other students from Boston area private schools that have no AP curriculum to score 5s. She loves to learn as much as she loves to teach.

Personal Biography

Amanda explored multiple vocations, developing skills as an actress, editor, travel writer, bookseller, bilingual tour guide, and waitress. Happily, she finds that she can bring many of these experiences to bear in her current work, but she is still looking for a way to sing and tap dance on a regular basis (as she did in high school). In the meantime, however, she pursues interests both new and old in the dramatic arts, yoga, travel, and the written word in all its forms.
