Scheduling

How to book, change, and manage your sessions

1Session Scheduling

All scheduling is done through our client portal.
For urgent changes, please communicate directly with your tutor, coach, or consultant.

2Session Changes & No-Shows

Signet requires 48+ hours' notice for:
- Rescheduling
- Changing session duration
- Cancellations
Late changes (under 48 hours) incur full session charge.
No-shows (15+ minutes late without notice) incur full session charge.
Exceptions are considered case by case.
Advance notice improves the chance of accommodation.

Billing

How invoicing, billable hours, and scheduled time work

1Invoicing

US-based clients: Invoiced every two weeks for services delivered in that time period.
Payment methods can be managed in our client portal.
ACH payments returned due to insufficient funds incur a $10 fee.
Late payments incur a penalty that will continue to accrue until the invoice is paid in full.

2Billable Hours

All session time is billable.
Offline work — including but not limited to essay editing, proofreading, and college research — is billable at the tutor's full rate.
Stakeholder conversations beyond 15 minutes per week are also billable at the tutor's full rate.

3Billing for Scheduled Time

Initial schedule set based on student's goals and needs.
Sessions billed in full unless canceled 48+ hours in advance.
Changes to session time or frequency require mutual agreement.
Exceptions are considered on a case by case basis.

All Signet tutors must pass a background check before working with clients.

2Confidentiality

Academic records, performance, and personal/billing information are strictly private.
Client information is never sold, rented, or distributed.

3Graded Assignments

Tutors help students prepare but do not complete assignments for them.
Students should attempt work beforehand and identify specific challenges.
Tutors will guide through similar problems or review tested concepts.
This policy applies to homework, take-home/online exams, quizzes, and written work.

4Satisfaction Guarantee

We offer a full refund if you are unsatisfied after your first session with a tutor, and we will continue working to find the right tutor for you.
We offer no guarantees on results (grades, scores, college acceptances, etc.), but we are fully committed to client satisfaction.

What is included in the initial consultation call?

The calendar above allows parents to schedule a consultation with one of our expert educators. This initial call helps us understand your child’s needs and academic goals. Following this, we arrange personalized 1-1 tutoring, coaching, or admissions consulting sessions tailored to your child’s specific requirements.

How are the tutors selected?

Our tutors, coaches, and consultants are highly qualified, with 86% holding a Master’s or PhD. Our admissions consultants are former admissions officers from highly selective colleges and experienced college counselors. What subjects do you offer tutoring in?

We offer tutoring in a wide range of subjects, including but not limited to, math, science, English, history, and standardized test preparation (SAT, ACT, etc.). We also provide executive function coaching and consulting on US undergraduate and graduate admission (MA, PhD, MBA, JD, & MD programs).

How do I book a call?

What can I expect during the initial call?

Sessions typically last between 60-90 minutes, depending on the student’s needs and the subject matter.
