Information and Policies
These policies are enforced by the Signet administrative team, not by your tutor, coach, or consultant. Please feel free to contact us directly in cases of extenuating circumstances or emergencies; we are happy to consider all reasonable exceptions to these policies.
Scheduling
- Session Scheduling:
- Schedule, reschedule, and cancel directly in your TutorBird portal.
- If you need help or get stuck, reach out to us
- Session Changes & No-Shows:
- Signet requires 48+ hours’ notice for:
- Rescheduling
- Changing session duration
- Cancellations
- Late changes (<48 hours) incur full session charge.
- No-shows (15+ minutes late without notice) incur full session charge.
- Exceptions are considered case by case.
- Advance notice improves the chance of accommodation.
- Students working towards a deadline or an exam will receive priority in reschedules.
- Urgent changes outside business hours must be communicated directly with the tutor.

Billing
- Billing Information
- Set up or update billing information and autopay directly in your TutorBird portal.
- Invoicing:
- US-based clients: Invoiced every two weeks for services delivered in that time period.
- Preferred payment: ACH withdrawal.
- Call the office at 617-714-5262 for any invoicing or billing questions
- Billable Hours:
- All tutoring time is billable.
- Additional billable activities: Essay editing, proofreading, and stakeholder conversations beyond 15 minutes per week.
- Billing for Scheduled Time:
- Initial schedule set based on student’s goals and needs.
- Sessions billed in full unless canceled 48+ hours in advance.
- Changes to session time or frequency require mutual agreement.
- Exceptions are considered case by case.
Working with Signet Staff
- Background Checks:
- All Signet tutors must pass a background check before working with clients.
- Confidentiality:
- Academic records, performance, and personal/billing information are strictly private.
- Information is never sold, rented, or distributed.
- Graded Assignments:
- Tutors help students prepare but do not complete assignments for them.
- Students should attempt work beforehand and identify specific challenges.
- Tutors will guide through similar problems or review tested concepts.
- Applies to homework, take-home/online exams, quizzes, and written work.
- Satisfaction Guarantee:
- Full refund if unsatisfied after the first session.
- Signet will continue working to find the right tutor for you.
- No guarantees on results (grades, scores, etc.), but full commitment to client satisfaction.
- Contact Signet with concerns for assistance in improving experience.
